About this experience
Most cooking classes hand you a recipe. This day hands you a reason.
It starts where the wine does: a morning in the Valpolicella with your guide and sommelier, in a family cellar where you taste through the range — Valpolicella Classico, Ripasso, Amarone — and learn what the appassimento actually does to a grape. By the time you leave, you know what these wines need on the plate, because you have just spent two hours tasting it.
The afternoon moves into Verona, to a partner cooking school in the city, where you cook hands-on. We agree the menu with you beforehand — it follows the season and what the kitchen is set up for on your date. Then you sit down and eat what you made, with a wine pairing chosen for the menu. That last hour is the whole point — the pairing stops being a theory and becomes dinner.
We arrange the cellar, the kitchen and the table, and a guide and sommelier stay with you for the day. If you would rather not drive, a private driver can be added. Dates are confirmed individually: tell us when you are here and we will come back with the days that work. Nothing is booked or paid when you message.
