Wine Passport — Membership Terms

Last updated: October 2026 · This English version is the governing text.

1. What the membership is

The Wine Passport is an annual membership sold by Enouting ("we", "us"). A few definitions used throughout:

  • Membership year — the 12-month period your membership runs for (see section 3).
  • Pass — one of the ten visit credits included in each membership year. Passes are counted per person: every guest attending a visit uses one pass.
  • Visit — a private visit at a partner estate, arranged end to end by us. A visit is the visit itself: anything around the day (meals, private drivers, wine boxes and other add-ons) is not part of a pass.
  • Partner estates — the wineries that work with us, listed on our wineries page. The roster can change during the year as partnerships evolve; visits already confirmed are always honoured.
  • Flagship estates — the estates we also offer as full-day experiences (for example "Lunch with Quintarelli"). A passport visit to a flagship estate uses one pass like any other and does not include the full-day experience.
  • Cellar Points — the membership's loyalty programme (see section 8).

2. Price, invitation and payment

  • The membership costs €2,500 per membership year, inclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • Memberships are limited to twelve per calendar year and granted by invitation, in the order requests arrive. A request is not a contract: the contract is concluded when we accept your request in writing and you complete payment.
  • Payment is due in full at acceptance. Your membership is confirmed once payment is received; your Wine Passport is then produced and sent to you.

3. When your membership year starts

  • Your membership year officially starts on the date of your first confirmed visit booking and runs for 12 months from that date.
  • If you have not made a first booking within 12 months of payment, the membership year is deemed to start on that anniversary. This keeps the membership from remaining open indefinitely.
  • The membership does not renew automatically. Before your year ends we will invite you to renew; nothing is charged unless you accept.

4. Your 14-day right of withdrawal (EU)

The membership is sold at a distance, so under Directive 2011/83/EU and the Italian Consumer Code (arts. 52–59, D.lgs. 206/2005) you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the day the contract is concluded (acceptance + payment), without giving any reason.

  • To withdraw, send us an unequivocal statement before the deadline — by email or WhatsApp is enough. You may use the model withdrawal form in Annex I of the Directive, but you don't have to.
  • We refund within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same means of payment you used, at no cost to you.
  • If you book a visit within the 14-day period, you are expressly requesting that we begin performing the membership before the withdrawal period ends, and you acknowledge this when booking. If you then withdraw, we refund the membership fee minus €250 for each pass already used (one tenth of the fee per pass), in line with art. 14(3) of the Directive.
  • If all ten passes have been used within the period, the service has been fully performed at your express request and the right of withdrawal no longer applies.
  • Returning the physical passport is not a condition of withdrawal.

5. Refunds after the withdrawal period

  • After the 14-day withdrawal period, the membership fee is non-refundable and the membership cannot be cancelled for a refund of unused passes.
  • One exception, in your favour: if during your membership year we are unable to arrange the visits you are entitled to — despite your reasonable, sufficiently advanced requests across the partner roster — we will refund the unused part of the fee pro-rata (€250 per unusable pass). Estate-by-estate unavailability on a specific date is not a failure to perform: availability always belongs to the estates (section 6).
  • Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer.

6. Booking visits — and cancelling one

  • Every visit is booked upfront with us, through the channel reserved for passport holders. There are no walk-ins; the membership gives priority in our booking process, not direct access to the estates.
  • Every confirmation depends on the estate's availability. No specific estate, date or time is ever guaranteed. We will always propose alternatives.
  • A confirmed visit is a leisure service for a specific date: under art. 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU the 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to the individual booking. Instead:
If a confirmed visit is cancelled What happens to the passes
By you, 7 or more days before All passes for that visit are restored
By you, less than 7 days before, or no-show The passes are spent
By the estate or by us, at any time All passes are restored — and we rebook you with priority

7. Passes, guests and the end of the year

  • Each membership year includes ten passes. Visits count per person: bring anyone — each guest attending uses one pass, unless covered by a purchased extra pass.
  • Unused passes expire at the end of the membership year and do not roll over or convert into money. The stamps you have collected remain yours.
  • Guests attend under the same conduct rules as the member (section 11).

8. Cellar Points

  • Cellar Points are a loyalty benefit: what you book with us earns points, and points convert into extra passes.
  • Accrual and conversion rates are being finalised with the partner estates and are not yet published. They will be communicated to members in writing before any accrual applies; until then, no points accrue and no entitlement arises.
  • Once published, rates may change prospectively with written notice; points already earned are not affected by a rate change.
  • Points have no cash value, are not legal tender or electronic money, cannot be sold or transferred, and are reversed if the purchase that earned them is refunded or cancelled.
  • Passes obtained from points are ordinary passes: booked the same way, subject to the same estate availability, and expiring with the membership year in which they are issued.
  • We may modify or end the programme with reasonable written notice; points already earned remain convertible for the remainder of your current membership year.

9. Extra passes and add-ons

  • Extra passes can be purchased at the member discount. They attach to your membership, follow the rules of ordinary passes, and expire with your membership year.
  • Add-ons — private drivers, wine boxes and similar — sit outside the passport. They are quoted individually, contracted separately at the moment you book them, and always offered to members at a dedicated discount.
  • The membership covers winery visits only. It is not a travel package: transport and other travel services, when requested, are separate services with their own terms.

10. Gifting a membership

  • A membership may be purchased as a gift. The purchaser holds the contract — including the 14-day withdrawal right — until the recipient activates the membership with a first booking; from activation, the recipient is the member.
  • The recipient must be of legal drinking age and accept these terms at activation.

11. Personal membership and conduct

  • The membership is personal and non-transferable (guests are welcome on visits, but the membership itself cannot be lent, resold or shared). We may ask for ID at a visit.
  • All participants must be 18 or older for tastings and must follow each estate's house rules. Estates may refuse service consistent with their own policies and the law.
  • We may suspend or terminate a membership for serious misuse (for example resale of passes or repeated no-shows); in that case unused passes are refunded pro-rata at €250 each, which is the member's sole remedy.

12. Changes, liability, force majeure

  • We may update these terms for legal or operational reasons with written notice; changes apply prospectively and never reduce the number of passes, or increase the price, of a membership year already paid.
  • Visits take place on the estates' premises and under their responsibility for those premises. Our liability is limited to what the law does not allow us to exclude; we are not liable for events outside our reasonable control (force majeure), including estate closures, harvest demands or weather — in those cases passes are restored as per section 6.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also keep any protection granted by the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence where the law so provides. You may also use any alternative dispute resolution body competent for consumer disputes in Italy.

14. Contact

For anything about your membership — including withdrawal notices — write to us on WhatsApp or through the contact form. For the day-to-day booking terms of individual experiences outside the passport, see the booking & cancellation policy.
